Grape Varieties - Avesso

Avesso

It seems that Avesso is a relatively new kid on the block, as evidenced by its lack of genetic diversity. It is almost certainly autochthonous to the Vinho Verde vineyards of northern Portugal where it produces richer wine than its counterparts in the area. Yet Avesso wine also remains fresh, despite its higher levels of alcohol fuller body.
