Grape Varieties - Cococciola

Cococciola

Very little is known about this strangely-named white grape variety. It is largely grown in the Abruzzo, plus a little in northern Puglia. It is traditionally blended (in minor part) into Trebbiano d'Abruzzo. There are a great many clones of this variety, indicating a fondness among the local population for its cultivation.
